As with any software, issues can present themselves when using the iTakeControl mobile application. Below are a few basic troubleshooting steps as well as important information to send us when contacting our support.
Mobile App is not working
If the app has frozen or something is not working as it should, please have the user try the following:
- Force close the app
- Restart the device
- Uninstall/ Reinstall the app
- Ensure their device's operating system is up to date
Uninstall and reinstall the app
With all the apps and OS updates, there can be rare interactions that cause conflicts. By uninstalling and reinstalling an app, you can make sure that updates to your phone and other apps are not affecting it.
For Android: Go to the Settings menu > Apps or Application manager > Choose the app > touch Uninstall (directions from Google).
For iOS: Hold your finger on the app icon until it wiggles, tap the X that appears in the corner, and then tap Delete.
If after performing each of the above steps, the issue is not resolved please submit a request to our support team.
Submitting an issue
Here are a few questions it would be important for us to know:
- What is the model of the device?
- iPhone X, Samsung Galaxy S, Google Pixel 3, etc.
- What is the version of the OS?
- Description of the issue
- What happened before the issue occurred?
- Any available screenshots
